    23rd March 2001, Tao Yuan, Special Commissioner of Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR), issue to David Chow, CEO of Landmark, and at the same time, member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau SAR, the certificate of appointing him as Honorary Consul of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Cape Verde in Macau SAR of China PRC, permit Mr. David Chow to exercise consular functions in the consular district, and receive corresponding facilities, privileges and immunities.

    Honorary Consulate of Republic of Cape Verde in Macau was inaugurated on 16th July 2001, Florinda da Rosa Silva Chan, Secretary for Administration and Justice, and Manuel Inocenio Sousa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Cape Verde, accompanied by David Chow, Honorary Consul of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Cape Verde in Macau SAR, have hosted the opening ceremony. They all hope that the establishment of the honorary consulate could stimulate the development on economy, culture exchange and tourism of both Cape Verde and Macau.

    Yuegen Shi, Representative of Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in the Macau SAR, along with members of the Macau Executive council and of the Legislative Assembly, and community leaders, have attended the ceremony.
